what exactly proves that these quotes are legimate and true?


Their legitimacy (as source) is easy to prove, just google it, read their books and writings, but that alone doesn't offer the final proof that religion is wrong or right.

I consider it's nice to see another view on the matter from some influential people over the ages. Their were great for a reason, we should all listen for what they have to say.

For example, George Santayana's quote offer us an personal opinion, Galileo Galilei's give us an argument, Frederick II's offer us an explination.

Of course, most of them remain undisputed because their author's are dead.
